The role reports to the Site HR Manager. This role is extremely visible and demands flexibility, professionalism, sound decision-making, and problem-solving abilities. This person will lead our engagement focus to fully align with the future vision of Elkin. This role will work closely with the Elkin Supervisors and staff to drive improvements in a variety of areas. The Elkin location is in a growth mode and creates an environment that needs a sense of urgency and attention to detail to accomplish the challenges at hand. The right candidate will have the knowledge of the fundamental HR laws, practices, and principles that guide how we operate in the HR field. For the right candidate, this position should operate with a high level of autonomy; however, with a strong partnership within the HR and local teams.

Job Requirements

  • The ideal candidates will possess a strong work history with preferably a 2-year degree or higher in a relevant field or have a PHR or SHRM CP certification

  • 1-3+ years Human Resources experience preferred

  • Manufacturing HR experience preferred

  • Experience in leading plant engagement improvements with quantifiable results highly desired

  • ADP experience is a plus

  • Must be able to work an early morning schedule (630am start time)

  • A demonstrated working knowledge of FMLA, HIPAA, COBRA, and DOL guidelines and familiarity with applicable federal and state laws and benefits administration
