As a result of our extended growth, we are seeking a Process Engineer to join our team! This position will define the improvements necessary to make process improvements that yield results in safety, quality, cost and control. The successful candidate will measure and demonstrate capability for the process/product/equipment assigned for improvement. They will analyze the information available to determine what work is needed. The Process Engineer is expected to use lean six sigma tools like fishbone diagram, failure mode and effects analysis, histograms, Pareto diagrams, and a variety of statistical tools. Key Roles and Responsibilities:
Ownership of Value-Add Operation, based on the financial performance of the line. Measure by OEE, Net Pack Rate, Speed-Yield-Labor variance, etc.
Use process and quality control skills to meet customer requirements for delivery, PPM, VAVE, capacity analysis and other deliverables.
Use appropriate new model introduction tools including PFMEA, PPAP, DFMEA, Control plans, and process flow mapping to insure the successful launch of new products.
Develop SOP, TPM, and quality documents to support processes. Support with data from process flow, SPC and other sources.
Work with process technicians and maintenance personnel to provide technical assistance in problem-solving, continuous improvement, and process control.
Implement and emphasize safety, health and environmental control policies and procedures in both personal work activities and in equipment/process design and modifications in order to contribute to and ensure plant/company safety and health goals are achieved.
Support of capital project design, development, justification, purchase, installation, and launch at the facility.
Job Requirements Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (preferably electrical or equivalent) is required
3+ years related production/process experience
Demonstrated knowledge of plant manufacturing processes; Lean Manufacturing; Six Sigma tools [fishbones, failure mode and effects analysis, histograms, Pareto, and statistical tools
Strong technical knowledge of automotive glass value-add operations is preferred
Working knowledge of computer-aided-design equipment, computerized processes and PLC is preferred
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) for interactions with management, peers, other associates, vendors and contractors
Ability to troubleshoot, analyze and resolve problems, plan, organize and share information
Ability to work independently and manage projects to established timelines as performance is measured against project goals and specific assignments
